As the new year began, Gregg successfully convinced an Illinois Appellate Court Justice to strike an appellant's brief for failing to comply with the Illinois Supreme Court Rules.

Congratulations to Alisa on being named an Illinois Super Lawyer in the area of employment and labor law for the fifth year in a row, and one of the top 50 women lawyers in Illinois for a second consecutive year.

Alisa will be addressing various personnel issues which confront dental practices on February 24 at the Chicago Dental Society's 2012 Mid-Winter Meeting.  She will also be moderating a program in Las Vegas in late March on how to present successfully at a CLE meeting at the American Bar Association's Section of Labor & Employment Law Commitee on Employment Rights & Responsibilities Mid-Winter Meeting.

In what is believed to be a case of first impression, Alisa and Gregg successfully argued that neither punitive damages nor attorneys' fees may be recovered for a retaliatory discharge under the Illinois Hospital Report Card Act.

Gregg and Alisa succeeded in having summary judgment entered in favor of their client, a plaintiff in a breach of contract suit, in the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Alisa and Gregg succeeded in having a case dismissed by the Circuit Court of Cook County, where the plaintiff alleged tortious interference with contract, aiding and abetting, and a violation of the Illinois Trade Secrets Act.
